2027 Temple Medical Alumni Association Awards

Do you know a classmate, peer or mentor who is a deserving candidate for a Lewis Katz School of Medicine alumni award? Each year, the Medical Alumni Association recognizes several alumni who are marking a milestone reunion year for outstanding achievements in their profession, community or for the university. We invite you to participate in the awards process by sharing their achievements with us for nomination. Nominees in alumni categories must be an alumnus from a class year ending in 2 or 7. 

The awards up for nomination are the following:

• The Henry P. and M. Page Laughlin Alumnus of the Year Award: Alumnus of the Year awardees must have exceptional if not unique records of achievement in medical practice, education, research and/or service.
  
• The Medical Alumni Achievement Award: Recipients of the Medical Alumni Achievement Award must be nationally recognized for their professional, educational, scientific and/or administrative achievements. 
  
• The Alumni Service Award: Given to alumni who have been extremely generous benefactors of the Lewis Katz School of Medicine both with their time, talents and financial resources. 
  
• The Emerging Leader Award: Given to an alumnus who is early in his or her career for achievement through leadership, education, scholarship or service in his or her professional or volunteer life. 
  
• The Honored Professor Award: Given to a professor whose impact has been profound; a professor whose teaching style and character exemplify the knowledge and values that Temple strives to instill. Nominees for this award do not have to be an alumnus. 
  
• Distinguished Resident Alumni Award: Given to a former resident whose contributions have advanced medical education, research and/or patient care.
